The founder and president of I.K.O. Kyokushinkai
Saiko-Shihan Nabahi started his Kyokushin training 1976 in the first Kyokushin honbu in Tehran under the instruction of Sosai´s first branch chief in Middle East Hanshi Yousef Shirzad. Already two years later he was instructor at the university-dojo in Tehran 1978-1979. At the age of 20, he was the youngest coach and branch chief for the suburb of Tehran (the city of Rood-e Hen) at the first Kyokushin Championships in Iran 1980.
Saiko-Shihan Nabahi was manager and instructor in several dojo´s in Tehran in the 80´s.
Saiko-Shihan Nabahi has organized several national and international competitions. In 2010 he was director and organizer of the 3rd knock down competition in Sweden, ”Swedish Open 2010”, which was held in Lund-Sweden. Five years later, in 2015, he was a director and organizer of the international competition “9th European Matsushima Kyokushin Championships” in Lund, Sweden. In 2017, Shihan Nabahi was a director and organizer of “Karate Syd Junior Cup” in Lund, Sweden.
Shihan Nabahi has also been acknowledged for his ample Kyokushin leadership. Two years in a row (2014 and 2015) he was nominated for the best coach and club leader in Sweden among all sport leaders. During 2014, Nabahi dojo (Karate Syd) was also
awarded as the best local sport club for kids and youth in Lund.
Saiko-Shihan Nabahi has also served as referee at several major competitions for example in World Championships 2016 in and All Japan Championship 2019, both in Japan.
Shihan Nabahi has also served as chairman for the Medical Committee of Swedish Kyokushin Karate Federation between 2012-2017 and he has been Branch Chief for Matsushima Kyokushin in Sweden between 2010-2016. He has also been branch chief of So Kyokushin in Sweden between 2018-2021.
Saiko-Shihan Nabahi´s devotion to Kyokushin is reflected by the fact that he has brought and raised the Kyokushin flag on Kilimanjaro peak (5895m) in 2014 and 2015, on Damavand Peak (5610m) in 2016, on Everest BC (5364m) in 2017, Fuji-san (3776m) in 2018.
Saiko-Shihan Nabahi is a registered Physiotherapist since 1984, and is the founder and manager at Rehab Syd, a Physiotherapy and sport rehabilitation clinic, in Lund, Sweden since 1994. He received his master’s degree in Sport Medicine from Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden in 2006.
With the foundation of I.K.O. Kyokushinkai, Saiko-Shihan Nabahi would like, using his experience and knowledge in Kyokushin and human anatomy and biomechanique, to fulfill and develop the spirit and teaching of Sosai Mas Oyam´s Kyokushin school and to create a strong Kyokushin family.

We are honored to announce the foundation of the new Kyokushin organization, I.K.O. Kyokukushinkai which is based in Sweden with possible branches to be registered around the globe. Osu!
All Kyokushin branches and dojos around the world can consider themselves invited to join I.K.O. Kyokushinkai, and for those who do we hope they find their proper Kyokushin home with the leadership style of Saiko-Shihan Mehdi Nabahi with mutual respect and acceptance.
I.K.O. Kyokushinkai is an organization with a specific mission, to fulfill and develope Sosai´s way. Dojo Operators or Branch Chiefs around the world are always welcome to our organization. Also, other I.K.O. Organizations are welcome to enter a partnership with us. If you have read Dojokun and Sosai´s elven mottos thoroughly, which are the same as I.K.O. Kyokushinkai´s values, and have accepted them and want to join us, please do not hesitate to contact us.
